Nigerian Scholars Ranked Highest In UK Academic Performance Sponsored By Agency

Agency (NITDA), Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami express delight with the
academic performance of Nigerian scholars sponsored by the Agency to
undergo MSC programme at Nottingham Trent University United Kingdom
(UK).
Pantami made this known when Mrs Selma Toohey, Senior International Officer for African at Nottingham University and Mr Taha Osman, Principal Lecturer in Computing at the same institution, paid a courtesy visit to the Agency’s Corporate Headquarters in Abuja to brief the DG and his management team on outstanding performance of NITDA’s scholars at the institution.
The duo on behalf of the institution presented a certificate of appreciation to the Agency, and announced a £3000 discount in tuition fee for Nigerian scholars with a first class, or second class upper from any reputable institution in the country.
The DG expressed appreciation to the institution for honouring the Agency and for the consideration given in respect to challenges of foreign exchange witness by the country.
“I have been an instructor for more than 16 years, I feel very proud when Nigerian students excel academically especially at the UK, NITDA’s scholarship programme was borne out of the dire need to develop capacity in areas of IT in Nigerians ” he said
Selma, earlier commended the Nigerian scholars sponsored for dedication to their studies, being good ambassadors of the Nation, catering for other African students and actively participation in extra curriculum activities such as Nigeria Day.
She revealed that 2 among the 6 scholars sponsored by NITDA last year scored 81% against the British standard distinction tagged at 70%, she solicited for the Agency to sponsor more students to the Institution.
